Condolence & Memory Journal

To the Kilcullen Family,
I worked with Dan at the FBI New York Office from 1988 until Dan retired. Dan was my law enforcement partner. Dan was a true friend, a perfect gentleman, a great agent and had a fabulous sense of humor. He will be always be remembered.

I am truly saddened to hear of Dan's passing. We worked together in the FBI New York Office. He did some very important work and I was fortunate enough to work with him and become friends.

He was a very talented FBI Agent, a nice man and a good friend. He will be missed.

I just learned of Dan's passing. I met Dan when I became a new FBI agent in New York. Dan served as one of my training agents and I was lucky to have him as both friend and mentor. I learned much from Dan about work, life and friendship. I am so saddened by his death. I wish I had a chance to say goodbye.

Maureen,
I was saddened to learn of Dan's passing on the morning of 12 Feb 2014. I had spoken to Dan as he departed the office on the 11th and he was his same old self, happy smiling and always so pleasant. As Dan always was, he was a true gentleman and professional. I knew Dan when he came to work for NCIS while I was working there as a Special Agent in the Counter Terrorism Directorate. He always impressed me and I always remembered how he talked so lovingly about his Maureen. I know it is a great loss for you Maureen and for so many others as Dan had warmed the hearts of many. May God watch over you and I will pray for you and your family during these trying times. God Bless. RIP Dan. Jack Moreschi.

Dan was our first American friend and, though my husband passed away three years ago, for me Dan will always be a brother. There is a room in my house that is called Dan's room. It will always be Dan's and Maureen's room.
Even if I move to another place, I will always have a guest room that will be called Dan's room.

We're absolutely shocked at Dan's passing. We became family as we carpooled together into New York for years. Dan always remained a steadying influence on our diverse group of type A personalities. His response to any conflict that might arise was always very measured and calm. He was an excellent Agent and was acknowledged as such by the Bureau. I am saddened by this news and send my condolences to Ryan, Erin, and Maureen. May the Lord give you comfort!

I was assigned to the Combating Terrorism Directorate at NCISHQ while Dan was there as a contractor. We had some interesting chats - I was surprised he had actually attended seminary at one point in his life but went no farther in his clerical intentions. I am sorry for your loss.
